Michalak’s World Cup demons banished

FOR one man more than any other tomorrow’s Six Nations clash between France and England will provide a chance for wounds left by their last encounter on a Sydney night in November to be healed.

Frederic Michalak insists he has put his unhappy performance in France's bruising 24-7 World Cup semi-final loss to England behind him.

"I don't want to go backwards," said the precocious 21-year-old flyhalf who missed a string of penalties and made some wild miscues against England four months ago.
