Declan Queally has a yard going places, and Carrigmoornaspruce winning the final race on day two, the Grade Three Weatherbys General Stud Book Irish EBF Mares’ Bumper, was the icing on the cake of what has felt like a breakthrough season for the Waterford trainer.
The yard has been sending out winners for quite some time, but this season has seen a step forward in terms of numbers and quality and, with Galmoy Hurdle Rocky’s Diamond and the likes of I’ll Sort That, Mozzies Sister, Carrigmoorna Beach, and Bacchanalian to look forward to, the future looks rosy.
