Legendary Limerick trainer Michael Hourigan announces retirement

Hourigan said training Dorans Pride and Beef Or Salmon were the highlights of his career.

Michael Hourigan has announced his retirement from the training ranks after more than 50 years with a licence.

Hourigan embarked on his training career in 1973 and enjoyed a golden spell in the 1990s and 2000s, with stable stars Dorans Pride and Beef Or Salmon leading the way.
