City Of Troy, the undefeated colt who was crowned European champion juvenile of 2023, is on target for what his trainer, Aidan O’Brien, hopes could be a special year.

The three-year-old who “always looked a bit different” will have a racecourse gallop this coming Sunday in Naas, an exercise which should bring him forward as he sets his sights on his starting point for the season, the Newmarket 2000 Guineas on the first Saturday in May.
