Two jockeys at very different stages of their careers, enjoyed a landmark success on a bitterly cold afternoon in Tramore. Danny Mullins is a familiar name to racing fans and when he guided Leish Oscars Son to victory in the Doneraile Walk Beginners’ Chase, it was his 500th time returning victorious to the winner’s enclosure in Ireland.

At the other end of the scale, it was an entirely new experience for Conor Owens when he rode Blossom De Mai to victory in the Book A Table For New Year’s Day Mares’ Handicap Hurdle.
