Tim Doyle and Wayne Hassett combine for Thurles double

WAYNE'S WORLD: Wayne Hassett rides Wrist Art to victory in the Moyne Handicap at Thurles. Picture: Healy Racing

Local trainer Tim Doyle continued his tremendous run of form when doubling up with favourites Wrist Art and Alfalfa, both ridden by in-form apprentice Wayne Hassett (riding his first double), in Thurles.

It was appropriate that Doyle, who trains in the nearby parish of Moyne, won the (47-65) Moyne Handicap, over a mile, with the consistent 13-8 favourite Wrist Art, on whom Hassett circled the field turning for home before cruising into the lead and beating What Adaay by four and a half lengths.
