BHA to investigate circumstances behind Murphy injury

The British Horseracing Authority has decided to hold an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding a shoulder injury sustained by Timmy Murphy at Newbury on Friday.

Murphy was taken to hospital for X-rays on his shoulder midway through the card, although the reason for the injury was unclear at the time as he was seen walking away from the weighing room in some apparent pain before being helped into an ambulance.
