Cheltenham passes third inspection

Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase at Cheltenham goes ahead as planned after the track passed a third inspection.

While there were no problems with the conventional circuit at Prestbury Park, clerk of the course Simon Claisse called an initial 8am inspection for the cross-country event.

That first look and a second check at 10am proved inconclusive but a third inspection at 12 noon showed the track to be fit for action.

Spokesman Andy Clifton said: “The cross-country course has passed the inspection so the race goes ahead as planned.”
