Hughes fails in appeal bid

Richard Hughes will contact the British Horseracing Authority tomorrow to see if they will be reciprocating a lengthy ban handed out to him by the Mumbai stewards after learning his appeal had failed.

Hughes was handed a suspension in mid-February for not reportedly riding to instructions, an offence that is not punishable under British rules.
