Sedgefield succumbs to frost

This afternoon’s jumps meeting at Sedgefield has been abandoned due to a frozen track.

Course officials were forced to admit defeat following a third course inspection shortly before 11am.

Clerk of the course Phil Tuck said: "We just didn't get the anticipated rise in temperatures throughout the morning. The elements have gone against us, which is unfortunate, but we did our best.”
