Ayr given thumbs-up
This afternoon’s fixture at Ayr goes ahead following a successful early-morning precautionary inspection.
Course officials moved forward their intended 7.15am check because of a dry night.
A tweet issued by the Scottish track read: “No snow and dry overnight. Racing will go ahead.
“Forecast mainly dry and breezy, risk of odd shower.”
The going is currently soft, heavy in places.
Ayr are due to race on Tuesday, but that meeting is also subject to a 7.15am precautionary inspection.
Up to 10 millimetres of rainfall has been forecast during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Ayr tweeted: “Precautionary inspection Tues morning due to significant rain forecast overnight.”
