Supplemented pair on National service

Dragon Pulse and Talwar have been added to the field for Saturday’s Goffs National Stakes at the Curragh.

The former, who is trained by Jessica Harrington, won the Futurity Stakes at the track last month, while Jeremy Noseda’s Talwar landed the Solario at Sandown.

The latter is also engaged in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster on the same day, as is Aidan O’Brien’s Power, winner of the Coventry Stakes and second in the Phoenix last time.

O’Brien also has Futurity second Astrology among his 10 possibles along with Choir, Crusade, Daddy Longlegs, David Livingston, Furner’s Green, Reply, Tenth Star and Vault.

Jim Bolger has three to choose from in Parish Hall, Whip Rule and Zip Top, with Dermot Weld relying on Riviera Poet.

Strait Of Zanzibar and Tough As Nails are the other two contenders.

Among the defectors was John Oxx’s unraced Born To Sea, a half-brother to Sea The Stars. He has, however, been given an entry in the Irish Field Blenheim Stakes on the same card.
