Richard Hughes picked up a seven-day ban at Windsor on Monday evening that rules him out of the Newmarket July meeting.

Richard Hughes picked up a seven-day ban at Windsor on Monday evening that rules him out of the Newmarket July meeting.

Hughes was riding Puttingonthestyle in the Fee Group PLC Maiden Stakes and cut in front of Mrs Dee Bee who clipped heels and fell.

The stewards found Hughes guilty of careless riding and that he had caused considerable interference.

The suspension runs from July 5-9 and 11-12 as there is no Flat racing on July 10. He was already banned on July 4.
