Secret's out for Trophy spolis

Secret Love will aim to soften the disappointment of Mikael Magnusson’s Bridge Of Gold missing the Canadian International in the £300,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Fillies’ Trophy at Newmarket on October 2.

Secret Love will aim to soften the disappointment of Mikael Magnusson’s Bridge Of Gold missing the Canadian International in the £300,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Fillies’ Trophy at Newmarket on October 2.

Magnusson had made meticulous plans for Bridge Of Gold after he ran such a fine race in the Ebor but a freak accident has caused him to miss the miss.

Now his attentions switch to Secret Love, second to Godolphin’s Ragsah on debut and an easy winner of a Lingfield maiden on her next start.

“Secret Love is a nice two-year-old filly. She won recently and the second horse (Submission) bolted up the other day,” said Magnusson.

“The one that beat her at Kempton first time out was just beaten in a Group Three at the weekend.

“She is going to Newmarket for the fillies’ sales race on October 2.

“She’s a very, very nice horse. It won’t make up for Bridge Of Gold if she wins but it might make it a bit easier to swallow.”
