Michael Bell is looking at the totesport Dante Stakes for Coordinated Cut after his battling win at Newmarket last week.

An impressive scorer on his debut for Peter Chapple-Hyam last term, he was then unplaced in the Racing Post Trophy before joining Bell.

After being hampered by Godolphin’s Ameer who took a two-length advantage in the £250000 Tattersalls Timeform 3-Y-O Trophy, the Montjeu colt showed a great attitude to get back up and win.

“I was absolutely delighted with his run at Newmarket. He did very well to get back up having been stopped in his run as it’s hard to get the ball rolling again,” said Bell.

“He has taken the race very well and York is very much on our radar. I don’t think that stamina will be an issue and he has showed that he has a fantastic temperament.

“He has done nothing but thrive over the winter, has improved physically every month and his work has been encouraging.

“He has a lot of plusses but his next race will be very informative as he will be up against genuine Derby contenders.”
