Advisor given Scottish National aim
Advisor is likely to go on a retrieval mission at the Scottish Grand National meeting.
Paul Nicholls’ juvenile won his first two starts over timber but was disappointing in the Triumph Hurdle when only 11th as an 8-1 chance.
“Advisor was wrong after the Triumph, I don’t know if Paul had other horses who weren’t well after the meeting but he came back with bad blood,” said Harry Herbert, racing manager to owners the Royal Ascot Racing Club.
“There was no way that horse ran his race and sure enough two days later it emerged he had an excuse so we put a line through that.
“It is possible he may run at the Scottish Grand National meeting in the four-year-old hurdle (Purvis Marquees Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle).”
