The two-year-old filly, a 350,000 guineas purchase and named Date With Destiny by owner Julie Wood, is pleasing connections at home ahead of her racecourse debut.

“Julie always comes up with a decent name, and maybe she is psychic in going for Date With Destiny,” the trainer told his website, www.richardhannonracing.tv.

“She is a lovely filly who is doing everything right.

“She is a great mover and looks to have the right sort of attitude you want in a racehorse, and, hopefully, she will be something special.

“Obviously, you never know until they run, but it is exciting having such a high-profile youngster.

“We are just starting to step up the work for some of the two-year-olds so we’ll all be watching her closely.”

George Washington was trained by Aidan O’Brien to win the 2000 Guineas in 2006 and was sent back into training after his stud career was aborted due to poor fertility.

He was fatally injured at the end of his four-year-old campaign in the Breeders’ Cup Classic.
