This afternoon’s meeting at Wolverhampton is subject to a precautionary inspection at 8am after two and a half inches of snow fell on the track overnight.

While clerk of the course Fergus Cameron is confident the meeting will go ahead he was keen to alert people to the fact there could be a slight doubt.

“We had two and a half inches of snow overnight but a thaw has set in already,” said Cameron.

“We worked the track overnight but there are still just a few lumps left.

“I’d be very confident at this stage of the meeting going ahead but I just thought I’d put the wheels in motion.”
