Hopeful Taunton look again
Taunton will stage a second inspection at 11am ahead of this afternoon’s National Hunt fixture.
With overnight temperatures having dipped to minus 1.8C, clerk of the course Michael Trickey requires another assessment of conditions.
Trickey had earlier inspected the track at 8am, yet remains hopeful the meeting will go ahead.
He said: “We will look at 11am because temperatures are forecast to be plus 4C by then.
“If the indications are correct, we should be OK to race – it’s probably 70-30 in our favour.”
