Sedgefield to inspect

Officials at Sedgefield have called a precautionary inspection for 8am ahead of the meeting scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

Clerk of the course Charlie Moore said: "We've had a few snow showers today, although they haven't laid yet. We were forecast temperatures of 4C today but it has struggled to get to two and a half.

"We're forecast zero to 2C tonight, which would be fine, but there's the risk of more snow showers and obviously with it being colder it may settle.

"We'll have a look and see where we are."
