Wolves gets go-ahead

This afternoon’s meeting at Wolverhampton goes ahead after the track passed an 8am precautionary inspection.

Clerk of the course Fergus Cameron was forced to take a look after two centimetres of snow fell at the track overnight.

“We have passed the inspection and racing goes ahead. The track has responded well to being worked through the night and it’s all systems go,” said Cameron.

“However, the local roads have not been treated yet, so we would therefore advise people to allow a little extra time for their journey.”

Wolverhampton flies the flag in Britain today with Kempton and Ludlow abandoned on Sunday due to frost and snow.
