No problems for Sedgefield

Racing at Sedgefield today goes ahead after the track passed an inspection following the threat of frost.

Clerk of the course Charlie Moore said: "There's no frost in the ground. Temperatures might dip a bit at daybreak but there's plenty of cloud cover so we should be fine."

The going is soft, heavy in places and the first of six races is scheduled for 1.30pm.
