Mike de Kock's Eagle Mountain is working towards a return to the track after putting an injury in the spring behind him.

Runner-up in the 2007 Derby for Aidan O'Brien, the five-year-old moved to the South African trainer for the following season but did not hit the track until he won the Joel Stakes at Newmarket last October.

He followed with second in the Breeders' Cup Turf and a win in the Hong Kong Cup, but damaged a suspensory ligament before the Dubai Sheema Classic in March.

"The Eagle is doing well and is in work," assistant trainer Declan Cronin told www.mikedekockracing.com.
