Clonmel meet abandoned

Tomorrow evening's meeting at Clonmel has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.

Officials had planned to inspect the track at 8.30am on Thursday but heavy rain forced them to make an early call.

“They’ve had further significant rainfall and their clerk of the course, Lorcan Wyer, decided there was no point holding out until the morning. It’s just unraceable,” said the Irish Turf Club’s Cliff Noone.
