Ante-post favourite Fleeting Spirit will miss next week's Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York, trainer Jeremy Noseda told his website.

The filly, runner-up in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot and winner of the Darley July Cup on her latest start, has met with a setback.

Noseda said: "Unfortunately, Fleeting Spirit has met with a slight setback and will be unable to run in the Nunthorpe Stakes next week.

"Hopefully, this will settle itself down over the next week to 10 days and give us a chance to get her ready for the Sprint at Haydock on September 5," he told www.jeremynoseda.com.

Fleeting Spirit had been as short as 7-4 market leader for the York contest.
