Worcester given green light
This afternoon’s National Hunt meeting at Worcester goes ahead following an early-morning inspection.
Course officials yesterday announced a precautionary assessment because of the threat of heavy overnight rain.
The forecast showers failed to materialise, however, so the fixture has been given the thumbs-up.
Clerk of the course Fergus Cameron said: “There’s rain around, but we only had two millimetres overnight.
“In light of the inspection, racing goes ahead, but we have changed the going.”
The going is now good to soft, soft in places – but heavy in areas along the home straight.
