Dubai delight for Simcock
Dubai Miracle had no problem justifying warm support in division one of the Ashurst Wood Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Lingfield.
With trainer David Simcock remaining in reasonable form, his American-bred juvenile was punted into 13-8 joint-favourite and had two respectable efforts on the board already.
The perfect gap on the inside rail opened up turning for home and Jim Crowley took advantage to quicken two and a quarter lengths away from the early leader Duster.
"He's not a horse we dislike and he wants a mile now," said Simcock.
"They went slow early, making it a ridiculous race and I was a bit worried as he doesn't really do anything quickly.
"He'll go down the novice or conditions race route now."
