Jockey Hanagan set for X-rays
Paul Hanagan was taken to hospital for X-rays on his leg after being kicked by William Morgan in the parade ring before the Leonard Sainer EBF Maiden Stakes at York.
The jockey was about to be lifted into the saddle when he was cow-kicked by the two-year-old debutant, trained by Richard Fahey.
Fahey said: "They've taken him for X-rays to make sure he's all right, he's in a bit of discomfort.
"They can't see anything broken but he got a fair whack.
"He can move his toes and is comfortable there, but he's in a little bit of pain so they've taken him for precautionary X-rays. Let's hope he's OK," the Malton trainer told Racing UK.
