Sedgefield call Sunday check

Sedgefield have called an inspection for 2.30pm on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s meeting.

The track is currently covered in snow but clerk of the course Charlie Moore remains optimistic about their chances of racing.

He said: “We have got an inch and a half of snow on the track and we obviously need that to go before we can race.

“The forecast is reasonably optimistic and we will give it a chance. A lot will depend on if we get a frost tonight and how quickly temperatures rise tomorrow.

“We will make a realistic assessment tomorrow and let everyone know where we are.”
