Wolverhampton take a look

Wolverhampton’s all-weather meeting will have to pass a precautionary inspection at 8.30am if it is to go ahead.

The track has seen a healthy amount of snow overnight and clerk of the course Fergus Cameron is keen to check conditions.

He said: “We have called a precautionary inspection as we had an inch to an inch and a half of snow overnight and we were not expecting anything like that.

“We are forecast temperatures of plus two and bright periods so we decided to take a look at 8.30am.

“The track underneath the snow is fine but we just need it to lighten up a bit to assess the situation.”
