Thyne Again is set to start his campaign in the Woodlands Park 100 Club Poplar Square Chase at Naas on Sunday.

The seven-year-old was a smart novice chaser last season, winning a Grade One at Leopardstown, finishing fourth in the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham and second in the Swordlestown Cup at Punchestown.

“I haven’t got him fully tuned up yet but he’s ready enough for that race, I hope,” said Mallow trainer Liam Burke.

“My original plan was to run him in two weeks’ time in Navan but at the minute the ground there is heavy.

“After Naas, I’ll probably step him back up to two-and-a-half miles for the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown in December if he shows he’s come on from last year.”
