Danehill Destiny eyeing Clyde prize

Danehill Destiny will aim to break her duck in Group company in the Laundry Cottage Stud Firth Of Clyde Stakes at Ayr on Saturday.

The juvenile gained a big reputation after winning on her first two starts but she was a huge disappointment when last of 17 in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot.

She has bounced back with two fine recent efforts though, and trainer William Haggas is hopeful she is up to scoring at Pattern level.

“Danehill Destiny runs in the Firth Of Clyde and she has come out of her run at Doncaster last week really well,” said Haggas.

“She stayed on well to finish fourth in the Flying Childers over five furlongs, suggesting this step back up in trip will suit.

“It’s a Group race so if we can pick up some black type with her, that would be great.”
