O’Brien declares runners for Leger showdown
Aidan O’Brien has declared a strong team of runners in The Irish Field St Leger at the Curragh this Saturday.
Last year’s winner Yeats is included amongst the 10 runners, together with Septimus, Mikhal Fokine and New Zealand.
O’Brien has already trained the winners of the Irish 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas, the Irish Derby and the Oaks.
With victory on Saturday he will become the first trainer since 1935 to complete the Irish Classic Race Grand Slam.
