Smart Bali steals the show

Baliyana made full use of a plum draw near the rail to make all the running in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Leopardstown.

Mick Kinane bounced John Oxx’s son of Dalakhani out of the stalls in smart fashion and never saw another rival in the seven-furlong event.

The 4-1 chance finished behind Dermot Weld’s Carefree Smile on her debut but the 15-8 favourite trailed home fourth on this occasion.

Audrey stayed on for second, three lengths away from the winner, with Oh Goodness Me third.
