Banna the main man

Banna Man ran out a comfortable winner of the Corrib Village Beginners Chase on the final day of the Galway Festival.

Thomond O’Mara’s eight-year-old, fit from a couple of outings on the level, travelled supremely well for Paddy Flood throughout.

The 5-1 chance took up the running on the home bend and just needed to be pushed out to beat 100-30 favourite Loup Du Saubouas by two and a half lengths.
