Soldier of Fortune returns to the fray

Soldier Of Fortune has started back in work after a short break ahead of what connections hope will be a lucrative back-end campaign.

The Coronation Cup winner was floored by the fast-finishing Youmzain when last seen in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on June 29, and holds entries in all the major autumn races.

The Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes is one such event, as is the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, for which he is a best-priced 6-1.

“He has had a high-summer break and has just started back in work. We are looking at giving him an autumn campaign,” said trainer Aidan O’Brien.
