Kevin Ryan’s sprinter has been running well this season without getting his head in front but he appears to have been found the suitable opportunity to break his duck.

Runner-up on three of his six starts this season, the Pursuit Of Love gelding deserves his time in the limelight.

The handicapper refuses to give him a chance after a string of consistent efforts but he is finally 2lb lower than his last winning mark.

Admittedly, that was a while ago but he showed at Doncaster last time that he was not far off winning.

The Dianne Nursery brings together six previous winners and looks a tricky little contest but Sir Mark Prescott’s Predict looks progressive.

Runner-up on her first two starts, she shed her maiden tag on the all-weather at Wolverhampton.

She was sent off a 4-11 chance that day and should probably have been able to win more easily than the half-length margin suggests.

However, the second home that day has won since so the form a pretty solid look.

There is an interesting newcomer in the Aedas Architects Maiden Stakes in the shape of Sweet Destiny.

This three-year-old filly was in the care of Bryan Smart last year and held some fancy entries but never made it to the racecourse due to some niggling problems.

Now with Mark Tompkins, it is interesting that he has decided to start her off over 10 furlongs considering she held entries over sprinting distances last year but she could be worth a small interest.

At Southwell, Chris Teague will be disappointed if Frisbee cannot break her duck in the Dine In The Queen Mother Restaurant Maiden Stakes.

Not being disgraced on her debut last April, Frisbee did not appear again until February by which time she had switched to the care of Teague.

She showed the benefit of her initial experience when chasing home a red-hot favourite but there appears to be nothing out of the ordinary amongst the opposition this time.

Marcus Tregoning can score a welcome win with Shadayid Khanum in the wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

At Uttoxeter, Young Tot can break a frustrating run of seconds in the Guinness Novices’ Handicap Chase.
