A monster gamble at Kempton last week saw Mujamead nailed at the death, but he was turned out just five days later to capture the Half Term Deals @ pontins.com Classified Stakes at Wolverhampton today.

Fade To Grey edged out the four-year-old by a neck on Tuesday to land his connections a £150,000 (€200,523) windfall, with in-form Tony Carroll's runner having only been collared in the final 75 yards.

He proved popular on the back of that effort and pegged back 15-8 favourite Qaasi down the home run in this mile-and-six-furlong event for a two-and-a-half-length call.

Carroll said of the 2-1 winner: "He is a nice horse - he is progressive, stays well and is tough.

"I thought he was a little unlucky at Kempton and that he would win today as Qaasi wasn't going to be able to give us a stone in weight.

"It is possible jumping could be his game and I might run him in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham if he creeps in at the bottom of the weights.

"He was won two hurdle races and is rated 110, so there is hopefully a nice novice handicap in him."
