Snowy fine after Hennessy fall

Snowy Morning arrived back at Willie Mullins’ yard with no ill effects from his fall in Saturday’s Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury.

The seven-year-old, who still holds an entry in the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day, was the gamble of the race and even deposed Denman of favouritism near the off.

However, his challenge was short-lived as he hit the deck after a mistake at the seventh, firing Tony McCoy out of the saddle.

“He came out of it fine and he has been ridden out this morning, thankfully,” said Mullins.

“I have no plan this minute for him, I need to have a good sit down and think about it. I’m delighted with him though as he travelled home well and has been ridden out since.”
