Sky's the limit for Jupiter

Jupiter Pluvius looked a bright prospect when making a winning debut at the Curragh.

Given plenty of time to get into a rhythm by Seamus Heffernan, the Aidan O’Brien-trained youngster joined the experienced Dahindar a furlong out and the two battled it out to the line.

Jupiter Pluvius (5-1) got on top in the final 50 yards to land the Hacketts - Ireland’s Largest Independent Bookmaker EBF Maiden by a neck. Privet was third.

The son of Johannesburg, who holds an entry in the Racing Post Trophy, remains unchanged at 25-1 with William Hill for the Stan James 2000 Guineas.

Hill’s spokesman Tony Kenny said: “It’s amazing that he was one of our biggest losers for next year’s Guineas before he set foot on a racecourse.”
