Connections of Aqaleem remain in no rush to make a final decision committing their colt to the Ladbrokes St Leger.

In the meantime, however, the Derby third is being trained towards a crack at the final Classic of the season at Doncaster on September 15.

“I’ve not discussed the race yet with Sheikh Hamdan (Al Maktoum, owner) but he’s still training as if we are going there,” said Maktoum’s racing manager Angus Gold.

Marcus Tregoning’s charge is generally available at 4-1 for the St Leger.
