Linas Selection has been ruled out of the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot this afternoon.

Linas Selection has been ruled out of the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot this afternoon.

Mark Johnston’s colt, winner of the King George V Stakes at the Royal meeting 12 months ago to the day, is lame.

Seven runners will now go to post for the Group Two contest over a mile and a half, with Aidan O’Brien’s Scorpion the likely favourite.
