Supe seven to clash at Royal Ascot

Old rivals Notnowcato and Dylan Thomas are among a star-studded field of seven declared for the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

Old rivals Notnowcato and Dylan Thomas are among a star-studded field of seven declared for the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

Notnowcato got the nod over Dylan Thomas by a head when the pair clashed in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh last month.

Michael Stoute's five-year-old also had Aidan O'Brien's runner back in fourth when winning the Juddmonte International at York last summer.

This is not a two horse-race, however, as the opposition includes last year's Derby hero Sir Percy and Breeders' Cup Turf victor Red Rocks.

The latter, trained by Brian Meehan, has a verdict over Notnowcato already this term when landing a Group Three at Sandown.

Andre Fabre's Manduro, third to Ouija Board in this Group One 12 months ago, bids to become the first French-trained winner since Admetus in 1974.

Pressing, supplemented by trainer Michael Jarvis on Friday at a cost of £25,000 (€36,960), and Kandidate from Clive Brittain's stable, complete the line-up for the 10-furlong feature.

The four horses withdrawn at the 48-hour final declaration stage were Formal Decree, Hattan, Mandesha and George Washington, who runs in the Queen Anne Stakes on Tuesday.
