Down Royal check

Down Royal have called a precautionary inspection for 7.30am ahead of their meeting on Wednesday afternoon.

The track had an overnight frost on Tuesday and officials are concerned it may not come out of the ground in time.

“The inspection is due to prevailing weather conditions,” said the Irish Turf Club’s Cliff Noone.

“They had a nice and sunny morning earlier in the day but it has now clouded over which is making it difficult for last night’s frost to come out of the ground.”
