Multidimensional on Champion trail

Multidimensional is likely to be supplemented for the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes after pleasing connections in his work.

The three-year-old, who is trained by Henry Cecil, won the Prix Guillaume d’Ornano at Deauville on his last start and went well in a spin with Imago on Wednesday morning.

Owners the Niarchos family and Cecil are now deciding whether to pay the £24,000 (€36,000) supplementary fee for the 10-furlong event on Saturday week.

Cecil told the Racing Post: “Multidimensional quickened away really well and I think he is an improving horse. His racecourse gallop did him the world of good and we have to remember that his lead horse used to lead Bago.

“At the moment and, provided everything goes right for him over the next few days, it is very likely that he will be supplemented for the Champion Stakes.”
