Philip Robinson had Michael Jarvis’ charge quickly out of the stalls in the mile contest and he set a steady pace in front before cranking it up a notch on the turn for home.

He soon had most of his four rivals off the bridle and it was left to fellow British raider Azarole to throw down a challenge.

However, Robinson had far too many guns aboard Notability, easing to a comfortable success with John Egan having to settle for second on Stan Moore’s Azarole.
