Dandy Man put up a superb display to win the King Of Beers Stakes at the Curragh.

Con Collins’ Palace House Stakes winner, fourth behind Takeover Target in the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, showed a clinical turn of foot to win the Listed prize at odds of 5-4.

Pat Shanahan covered long-time leader Osterhase’s every move before edging into the lead shortly after the one-furlong pole.

Dandy Man never looked like losing from then on and impressively stretched clear to win with a length in hand of his nearest rival.

Benbaun missed the break but stayed on in good style to finish second, while Osterhase also stuck to his guns to take third place.
