Ouija set for Wales test

Ouija Board has been confirmed as a declared runner for the Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Ed Dunlop and the mare's owner Lord Derby were also considering the Hardwicke Stakes and the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown as possible alternatives but have instead opted to go for the 10-furlong Group One contest on Wednesday.

And with regular riders Kieren Fallon, Frankie Dettori and Jamie Spencer all unlikely to be available, French jockey Olivier Peslier has been revealed as Ouija Board’s partner for the first time.

“She runs and Olivier Peslier will ride her,” said Dunlop.

“She seems in good form and we are very happy with her – she worked well on Friday. We know that it’s a very competitive race but we’ve decided to run and, fingers-crossed, she runs well.”
