Chepstow cleared for racing
This afternoon’s meeting at Chepstow goes ahead as scheduled after a frost-free night at the Monmouthshire venue.
Clerk of the course Tim Long saw no reason to go through with his proposed 7.30am precautionary inspection after overnight temperatures fell to a minimum of plus half a degree.
“There is no frost in the ground whatsoever so we obviously had no cause to hold a precautionary,” said Long.
“We just needed to update the going to reflect the drying conditions.”
The going for the seven-race card, which begins at 2.10pm, is now good to soft, good in places.
