McCoy picks up Brook ride

Tony McCoy has landed the plum ride on Ashley Brook in the William Hill - Tingle Creek Trophy Chase at Sandown on Saturday.

The ride on Kevin Bishop’s stable star became available when regular jockey Paddy Brennan broke his leg at Uttoxeter last week.

“Tony McCoy will ride him,” Bishop confirmed.

“I don’t think it will be necessary or him to sit on him before then, the horse is relatively straight forward and obviously he’ll have a chat with Paddy beforehand.

“All is well with the horse.”
